CJ CheilJedang Operates 'Gourmet' Pop-up Store with 'World Cuisine' Concept
Operating an Overseas Travel Concept Store at CJ The Market on Basement Level 1 of CJ CheilJedang Center
Featuring Airport, Global Gourmet Experiences, and Souvenir Shops to Create a Culinary Travel Space
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] CJ CheilJedang has prepared a special space for consumers who are disappointed about not being able to travel abroad.
CJ CheilJedang announced on the 24th that it will transform its HMR flagship store "CJ The Market," located in the basement of its headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, into a gourmet pop-up store with the concept of "A Special World Cuisine Every Day."
The gourmet pop-up store, operating until September 11, is decorated throughout the store with a travel abroad theme to emphasize an exotic atmosphere. From the store entrance, it is designed like an airport gate, giving visitors the feeling of just arriving overseas. A photo zone equipped with props such as suitcases has also been set up so visitors can create fun memories.
At the deli corner selling menus using CJ CheilJedang products, visitors can enjoy a variety of dishes under the theme of "World Cuisine," including Korean, Japanese, and Chinese dishes. The menu will feature items such as "Snow Cheese Cream Katsu," "Kimchi Steamed Katsu," "Ice Katsu Soba," as well as "Lasagna" and "Pasta."
A "souvenir shop," an essential part of travel, will also be operated. Various souvenirs such as suitcase stickers, cooler bags, wine glasses, beer mugs, and name tags designed with the theme of world cuisine are available. There is also a space introducing dishes from different countries using CJ CheilJedang gourmet products and a corner called "Isinso (Introducing This Month's New Products)" showcasing new gourmet items.
A CJ CheilJedang official said, "We hope customers visiting the gourmet pop-up store can feel like they are traveling abroad, escaping their daily lives, and enjoy a variety of world cuisines. We will continue to actively plan and create pop-up stores with various concepts to approach consumers."

"Gourmet" is a premium home meal replacement (HMR) brand launched by CJ CheilJedang at the end of 2015 with the goal of "providing a special culinary experience." Its representative products include "Gourmet Donkatsu," "Gourmet Chicken," "Gourmet Hot Dog," and "Gourmet Pizza."
