The Gwangju Police stated that the special investigation team plans to actively punish not only the direct perpetrators but also those who neglect or assist illegally within the group through swift and strict investigations.
Along with this, they are making every effort to protect victims to prevent secondary harm to victims or additional damage caused by persuasion or threats to witnesses.
They are also focusing on providing multifaceted support through the victim CARE team, which offers psychological counseling and medical expenses for victims.
