Hyundai Rental Care Expands Offline Customer Touchpoints... Plans to Open Over 20 Partner Stores Within the Year
Hyundai Department Store Cheonho Branch Reopens as Hyundai Qming Cheonho Branch... Display and Sale of Mattresses and Massage Chairs
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Hyundai Rental Care is strengthening its offline distribution network. The company is expanding stores where customers can directly experience 'Hyundai Quming' products in major regions nationwide.
Hyundai Rental Care announced on the 22nd that it will renew and reopen the offline store 'Hyundai Quming Cheonho Branch' on the 10th floor of the Living Hall at Hyundai Department Store Cheonho Branch. Hyundai Quming Cheonho Branch displays and sells key Hyundai Quming products including water purifiers, air purifiers, mattresses, and massage chairs. A Hyundai Rental Care official said, "We designed the store so that premium customers who visit the department store can learn about the Hyundai Quming brand and directly check the design and functions of rental products to choose the right one." Along with the renovation of the Cheonho Branch, Hyundai Rental Care also added experiential products such as mattresses and massage chairs, in addition to water purifiers, air purifiers, and bidets, to Hyundai Quming stores at Hyundai Department Store Pangyo Branch and Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo Branch.
Additionally, Hyundai Rental Care is expanding affiliated stores where customers can directly experience and purchase Hyundai Quming products in major regions nationwide. These affiliated stores are 'shop-in-shop' types where Hyundai Rental Care showrooms are installed within heterogeneous retail stores such as furniture, interior, and supermarkets operated by small business owners. Hyundai Rental Care supports exhibition products and sales staff service training, while individual business owners who sign partnership agreements handle sales and operations. In June alone, Hyundai Rental Care opened seven affiliated stores in Cheongju, Daegu, Busan, and other locations, and plans to increase the number of affiliated stores to about 20 by the end of this year.
The reason Hyundai Rental Care is expanding offline showrooms like this is to maximize the effect of its aggressive business expansion strategy. This year, Hyundai Rental Care increased its sales-dedicated workforce by more than 20% and has been airing advertisements featuring actor Kang Ha-neul on broadcast and online platforms. Through this, Hyundai Rental Care aims to accelerate the growth speed of its rental business, which has entered the main track, by enhancing brand awareness and expanding offline customer touchpoints. Hyundai Rental Care has secured more than 12,000 new subscription accounts per month on average this year, showing remarkable growth. Its sales scale has also increased by more than 50% compared to last year.
