"AI Coding Education Promotion" KT and MarsisEdu Join Hands
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] KT announced on the 21st that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the activation of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) coding education business with MarssisEdu Co., Ltd., a coding education specialist company, at the MarssisEdu headquarters in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
According to this agreement, both companies plan to jointly carry out projects such as AI coding education robots, app development, discovery of AI-based post-coding education content, and research on AI-based interactive coding education programs.
KT entered the AI coding education market for the first time among telecommunications companies last year by launching the AI Coding Pack (formerly AI Edu Pack) and AI Coding Block (formerly Genie Block), and has been continuously strengthening AI education content since then. In addition, KT is accelerating the expansion of its platform by applying AI technology to various industries using its cloud AI platform, "GiGA Genie Inside."
MarssisEdu is a coding education specialist company that develops smart coding robots and coding teaching aids, providing various STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) solutions such as professional instructor training, hosting international coding competitions, and social contribution-linked projects. Through this agreement, it is expected that KT’s AI technology, including AI coding education content and GiGA Genie Inside, combined with MarssisEdu’s coding education expertise, will discover new business models and enhance competitiveness in the AI coding education market.

Park Yong-gyu, CEO of MarssisEdu, said, “We expect various AI coding education contents to emerge through this MOU,” and added, “We will contribute to nurturing future talents by developing post-coding education content that allows anyone to learn coding, which is a mandatory course in elementary, middle, and high schools, easily and enjoyably.” Kim Chae-hee, Executive Director of KT AI/Big Data Business Division, said, “AI coding education is an essential element for nurturing convergence and complex talents in the AI era, but the domestic infrastructure is still insufficient,” and added, “We will expand the domestic AI coding education infrastructure and launch various AI coding solutions so that students can learn coding more easily and enjoyably.”
