Actor Kim Se-a Clarifies on Broadcast "It's Not an Affair" but Faces Another Lawsuit
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] Actress Kim Se-a denied an affair with a certain businessman but was sued for damages for violating confidentiality.
On the 29th of last month, Kim Se-a appeared on SBS Plus's 'Do You Eat?' to explain the scandal she was involved in back in 2016. Kim said, "The issue started because the man said he was running a snake skin bag business in his family and asked if I could help. But the business fell through. One day, the head of the department contacted me and apologized for the inconvenience."
She continued, "'I wanted to help somehow,' so I talked about a children's business. I was going to work on that and worked for two months," adding, "I received two payments of 5 million won each as salary, and then the scandal broke out. I never received a corporate card, and at that time, it felt like I was hit hard on the back of my head."
Kim Se-a said, "I submitted evidence to the court and the matter was settled through mediation. Now, I don't argue about this or that; I just think I was wrong as a public figure, and the fact that I was involved in a controversy was itself a mistake."
Regarding this, Mr. A, who had filed a claim for alimony against Kim Se-a in 2016 and settled the lawsuit through mediation, has filed a damages claim lawsuit against Kim Se-a again.
Mr. A claimed, "We agreed not to disclose any claims made in the divorce lawsuit to the media or any third parties, but this was not kept."
