청 "Administrative Capital Relocation? Government and Opposition Must Consider Public Opinion" (Update)
Kim Tae-nyeon, Democratic Party Floor Leader, Delivers Negotiation Group Representative Speech... Advocates for Relocation of Blue House, Government, and National Assembly to Sejong to Complete Administrative Capital
[Asia Economy reporters Ryu Jeong-min and Son Seon-hee] The Blue House drew a line regarding the claim to relocate the administrative capital, stating that it needs to consider the opinions of both ruling and opposition parties as well as public opinion.
A senior official from the Blue House told reporters on the 20th, "Regarding the relocation of the administrative capital, discussions must first take place in the National Assembly, so we will observe the discussions between the ruling and opposition parties. It is also an issue that requires examining public opinion," expressing a fundamental stance.
Earlier, Kim Tae-nyeon, the floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, stated in a speech to the negotiation group representatives at the National Assembly on the same day, "To reduce street-level directors and KakaoTalk managers, the entire National Assembly must relocate to Sejong City. Furthermore, through more active discussions, the Blue House and government ministries should all relocate as well."
