Haenam-gun Selected for Smart City Integrated Platform Infrastructure Project Competition
Integration with Military Integrated Control Center, Upgrading Urban Safety Network
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Myeong Hyun-gwan) announced on the 20th that it has been selected for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's '2020 Smart City Integrated Platform Infrastructure Construction' contest project.
With this project selection, the county plans to invest a total of 1.2 billion KRW, including 600 million KRW in national funds, to build the Smart City Integrated Platform by the end of this year.
The Smart City Integrated Platform Infrastructure Construction project is aimed at building a smart urban safety network by integrating and operating various systems such as crime prevention, disaster prevention, traffic, and the 112, 119, and disaster communication systems, linking information organically.
The main linked services will support 112 dispatch and on-site video support, 119 emergency dispatch support, disaster safety situation support, support for socially vulnerable groups (children, dementia patients, disabled persons, etc.), and wanted vehicle searches.
Upon completion of the project, in the event of various incidents and accidents, CCTV footage operated and managed by the Haenam-gun Integrated Control Center will be transmitted and linked to the relevant agencies, securing golden time through organic inter-agency response and enabling prompt emergency response. Additionally, it is expected to improve the efficiency of urban management using this system.
