LG Electronics to Offer Free Replacement of 'Heat-Generating' TV Power Board Components
[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] LG Electronics announced on the 20th that it will replace the power boards of 18 TV models produced from February 2016 to September last year free of charge.
The replacement target is approximately 60,000 units. LG Electronics applies components to TV power boards to reduce current noise, and it analyzed that the cause is an increase in current within the power board due to performance degradation of these components in some models produced during a specific period.
Through this announcement, LG Electronics plans to actively inform customers about the service details and complete the service. LG Electronics is notifying customers using the affected products about the service details through the service website and customer text messages.
