Shinhan Financial Investment Launches Super Lizard Step-Down ELS Public Offering
Following KOSPI 200, Nikkei 225, S&P 500, and Others
[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] Shinhan Financial Investment is launching a new Super Lizard Step-Down type "Equity-Linked Securities (ELS)" product.
Shinhan Financial Investment announced on the 20th that it will offer 'ELS 19391' until the 22nd. This product is based on three indices: KOSPI 200, Nikkei 225 (Japan), and S&P 500 (USA). It will be redeemed with a pre-tax annual return of 5.5% if certain conditions are met. It is a 3-year maturity principal non-guaranteed product, with early redemption opportunities every 6 months after issuance, and the subscription deadline is 1 PM on the 22nd.
On each evaluation date every 6 months after issuance, if the closing prices of all underlying assets are at least 90% (6 months, 12 months), 85% (18 months), 80% (24 months), 75% (30 months), and 65% (36 months) of the initial reference price, redemption will occur.
However, if on the first early redemption evaluation date (6 months), the closing price of any underlying asset is below 90%, but none of the underlying assets have fallen below 85% of the initial reference price from issuance to the first early redemption evaluation date (6 months), redemption will occur with a 3.3% annual return. Also, if on the second early redemption evaluation date (12 months), the closing price of any underlying asset is below 90%, but none of the underlying assets have fallen below 75% of the initial reference price from issuance to the second early redemption evaluation date (12 months), redemption will occur with a 6.6% annual return.
