Coupang Appoints Vice President Jeon Junhee as Head of Rocket Delivery Development
Eastsoft Co-founder, Experienced at Innovative Companies Including Google and Uber

On the 20th, Coupang announced the appointment of Jeon Jun-hee as the new Vice President in charge of Rocket Delivery development. Vice President Jeon is an expert in computer science and software engineering who has experienced various development environments, from founding a famous domestic IT company to working at Silicon Valley startups, Google, Uber, and other global companies.
Vice President Jeon co-founded Eastsoft, a leading domestic software company, while attending university in 1993. In 1999, he moved to Silicon Valley, USA, where he worked at various startups. In 2006, he joined Google USA as a founding member and senior engineer of the TV advertising platform team. In 2014, he founded and led the YouTube TV team as head of development, playing a key role in stabilizing the product in the market and driving rapid growth. In 2019, he moved to Uber, where he directly designed and led projects in the micro-mobility sector and Uber public transportation services.
Going forward, Vice President Jeon plans to focus on advancing Rocket Delivery service to a global top level and on strategy planning and system development for faster and more efficient delivery processes at Coupang. He said, "In the ongoing situation of COVID-19, the world is paying attention to Coupang's innovative delivery system that is fast and accurate," adding, "As a developer at Coupang, I will continuously challenge myself to realize the vision of customer delight."
