Airport Bus and Rental Vehicle Use, Both Contacted Children Test Negative
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hong Jae-hee] The 39th confirmed COVID-19 case in Jeonbuk, who entered the country from overseas, has been reported.
According to Jeonbuk health authorities on the 19th, a woman in her 20s with Syrian nationality, A, who arrived from Turkey, tested positive for COVID-19.
A, who resides in the Jeongeup area, arrived at Incheon Airport at around 5:40 PM the previous day, took an airport bus to the World Cup Stadium, and then used a rental car to arrive at the Namwon Human Resources Development Institute at around 11:30 PM.
On the morning of the 19th, the day after arriving at the Human Resources Development Institute, a specimen was collected at around 8 AM, and she tested positive for COVID-19 at around 3:35 PM that day.
A has not shown any COVID-19 symptoms so far and is reported to have worn a mask at all times during her travel. Also, A's two children, who were close contacts, tested negative in specimen tests.
The health authorities have disinfected the airport bus and limousine vehicle that the confirmed patient used and have requested the Incheon Quarantine Station to investigate whether there were any contacts on the aircraft and within the airport.
