Jeongeup-si Selected for 'Smart City Integrated Platform Infrastructure Project'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeongeup City in Jeonbuk announced on the 17th that it has been finally selected for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's public contest project, the ‘Smart City Integrated Platform Infrastructure Project,’ and will receive 600 million KRW in national funding.
The ‘Smart City Integrated Platform Infrastructure Project’ is an urban safety network construction project that links the CCTV of the Safety Integration Center in real-time with the 112 and 119 control rooms to support emergency rescue and dispatch, prevent crimes and fires, and establish an immediate response system for various emergencies such as disasters and accidents.
Once the integrated platform is established, police officers who receive reports will be immediately provided with video footage of the surrounding area and information on the suspect’s escape route, enabling rapid apprehension of criminals.
Additionally, firefighters dispatched to fire scenes will receive real-time video footage, information on the installation status of hazardous facilities, and traffic information, allowing them to devise fire suppression and rescue plans before arriving at the scene.
