KB Financial Group Expands KB Innovation Hub... First Public Recruitment for KB Starters
[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] KB Financial Group announced on the 17th that it will conduct the first open recruitment for additional selection of ‘KB Starters’ to nurture and support a more diverse and larger number of domestic startups. KB Starters are startups nurtured by KB Financial.
KB Innovation Hub, the fintech lab of KB Financial Group, expanded and relocated the KB Starters residency space, which was previously operated in a 200-pyeong area in the Gangnam district of Seoul, to the 7th floor of WeWork Sinnonhyeon Branch nearby, with a size of 320 pyeong, in early July.
KB Financial operates residency spaces in the Gangnam area, reflecting excellent work efficiency from a geographical perspective and high preference among startup employees, to support smooth business exchanges and collaboration among startups. Through this expansion and relocation, it plans to provide a more convenient and pleasant working environment for nurtured startups.
To support more flexible and convenient global market entry and global collaboration for KB Starters companies, KB Financial newly offers the benefit of using WeWork offices located overseas separately from the domestic WeWork residency spaces to KB Starters.
Additionally, the first open recruitment for KB Starters will be conducted. Expanding from the previous occasional recruitment method through recommendations by external professional organizations, it aims to provide opportunities to more diverse and promising startups.
Applicants established after September 1, 2014, regardless of business field, can apply online through the KB Innovation Hub website from this day until August 10. Selected KB Starters can use the startup residency space and receive consulting services in various fields such as accounting, legal, and patents. They can also receive support for scale-up through organic cooperation with KB Financial Group affiliates and investment at each growth stage through KB Financial Group’s CVC funds.
