'Jin Air' Launches Service at Pohang Airport... New Routes to Gimpo and Jeju Established

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Pohang City announced on the 17th that Pohang Airport, which had been closed since February due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), will newly establish Gimpo-Pohang and Pohang-Jeju routes.
Before the launch, Pohang City plans to hold a business agreement ceremony on the 20th, attended by Lee Cheol-woo, Governor of Gyeongbuk Province, Lee Kang-deok, Mayor of Pohang, Joo Nak-young, Mayor of Gyeongju, Son Chang-wan, President of Korea Airports Corporation, and Choi Jung-ho, CEO of Jin Air Co., Ltd., aiming for the launch on the 31st.
The aircraft to be operated this time is a B737-800 (189 seats), and the current fare is undergoing government approval procedures. It is expected to be about 70-80% of Korean Air's fare. Additionally, various events will be held initially to attract passengers.
