US Embassy in Korea "Resuming Some Visa Issuance Services for International Students from the 20th"
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] The U.S. Embassy in Korea will resume visa issuance services for certain non-immigrant visas, including those for international students, which had been suspended due to the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
On the 16th, the U.S. Embassy announced on its website, "The U.S. Embassy in Korea plans to resume visa issuance services for some non-immigrant visas, including visas for students and exchange visitors (F, M, J), starting July 20."
It added, "Due to the backlog of applications, the waiting time for visa issuance may be somewhat longer," and explained, "The visa application fee paid by applicants remains valid and can be used if the applicant schedules an interview within one year from the payment date in the country where the fee was paid."
