Guro-gu and E-Land Retail Hold Job Fair for 500 Applicants
On the 29th at Sindorim Technomart, document submissions via visit or email accepted until the 24th... Priority hiring for Guro residents
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Guro-gu (Mayor Lee Sung) and E-Land Retail (CEO Kim Wooseop, Seok Changhyun) will hold a job fair for 500 people on the 29th at the Sindorim Technomart Grand Ballroom.
Guro-gu announced on the 16th that it will hold the job fair to provide priority employment opportunities to Guro residents as NC Department Store Shinguro Branch is scheduled to open at the end of August.
NC Department Store Shinguro Branch, operated by E-Land Retail, will newly open at the site of the AK Plaza Guro Branch (152 Gurojungang-ro), which closed last August. NC Department Store Shinguro Branch, which aims to be an urban outlet, is expected to house about 270 stores including private brands and dining establishments.
Guro-gu expects a large demand for new workforce due to the opening of NC Department Store Shinguro Branch and has been continuously discussing priority hiring of residents with E-Land Retail. In December last year, they also signed a memorandum of understanding promising mutual cooperation for job creation. Accordingly, both parties decided to provide priority employment opportunities to Guro residents and jointly hold the job fair.
The job fair will be held on the 29th of this month at the Sindorim Technomart Grand Ballroom. At the fair, about 100 managers and sales staff will be hired in each field including general merchandise, ladies' and young casual wear, sports, children’s, and men’s, totaling about 500 people.
Those who wish to participate in the job fair can submit their resume and application form by the 24th via email (gurojob@citizen.seoul.kr) or visit the Job Plus Center on the first floor of Guro-gu Office.
Applications are open to anyone regardless of their place of residence. For detailed information such as application form, please refer to the news section on the district office website. However, due to the special situation of COVID-19, only those who pass the document screening will be allowed to enter the job fair venue for interviews. Interview times will be staggered to disperse the number of participants, and all participants will undergo temperature checks and social distancing.
Those who pass the document screening will be individually contacted on the 28th, and final successful candidates will be notified after the interview (date to be determined).
