Goheung-gun, Bus Terminal Environment Improvement Research Service Report Meeting... Outcome Produced
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Goheung-gun, Jeonnam announced on the 14th that it held the final report meeting for the feasibility and basic plan study on the environmental improvement of Goheung Bus Terminal.
On the day, the county organized the opinions gathered from the kickoff meeting and two interim report meetings to produce the results.
The report meeting was attended by about 30 members of the 'Goheung Bus Terminal Environmental Improvement Private Council,' including Goheung Bus Terminal operators, transportation company representatives, traffic experts, representatives of nearby stores, and representatives from six nearby myeon (townships) around the terminal.
The feasibility and basic plan study on the environmental improvement of Goheung Bus Terminal lasted for a full 10 months, from October 14, 2019, to July 18, 2020.
At the final report meeting, the overall procedures necessary for establishing the basic plan and basic design were discussed.
Wonjin Engineering Architecture Office Co., Ltd., which conducted the study, detailed the task results, including architectural layout plans, partial plans, business feasibility review, and business promotion plans.

At the previous second interim report meeting, the location for the new terminal construction was decided to be the current site incorporated with the Forestry Cooperative, combining the advantages and disadvantages of the current and new sites. To resolve the traffic congestion issues around the current site, which were pointed out as problems, the road will be expanded to four lanes, and a taxi boarding and alighting area will be secured.
