Gyeongnam Provincial Library Hosts Humanities Reading Academy 'Finding Myself in Myths'
Wisdom of Communication and Symbiosis Learned Through Figures and Events in Greek Mythology
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] The Gyeongnam Representative Library announced on the 14th that it will hold the '1st Humanities Reading Academy' from the 15th to the 25th at the main auditorium of the library.
This Humanities Reading Academy will be held in four sessions under the theme of 'Wisdom of Communication and Coexistence Learned through Humanities,' covering mythology, literature, film, and philosophy.
The first topic, 'Mythology,' is a time to explore various characters and conflict situations in Greek mythology and experience humanistic insights through those characters and events.
The lecture contents include ▲ Procrustes' bed and empathy ▲ Narcissus, the prince, and princess syndrome ▲ Who declares Phaethon's independence? ▲ Arachne's jealousy and courage.
The invited lecturer is Min Do-sik, CEO of the Education Network Siseon. His books include 'Practical Reading Method That Changes Me Completely' and 'Learning Power.'
Residents wishing to attend can apply through the library website or by visiting in person, and applications can also be made on-site on the day of the event.
