[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] News has emerged that iKON members Kim Jin-hwan and Koo Jun-hoe were involved in a traffic accident, and it is expected to cause a stir as the accompanying driver was reported to be intoxicated.

According to Namhae Police Station on the 13th, at around 3:40 a.m., a van slipped on a rainy road on National Route 3 in Changseon-myeon, Namhae-gun, and crashed into a retaining wall along the roadside.

As a result of the accident, Kim Jin-hwan, Koo Jun-hoe, and the driver, Mr. A, who were in the vehicle, sustained minor injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

YG Entertainment stated in an official statement on the 14th, "The members received emergency treatment and are currently resting at their accommodation. Although our company has strict internal regulations against drunk driving, we are deeply concerned and feel a grave sense of responsibility that such an accident occurred. We will conduct a thorough internal investigation of the related facts and take appropriate strict measures."

The police are investigating the exact circumstances, believing that the driver, Mr. A, was driving under the influence on the rainy road and lost control, causing the accident.

It has been confirmed that a vehicle carrying some members of iKON was involved in an accident on the 13th while heading toward Namhae on National Route 3 in Sacheon.

The medical staff assessed that the injuries of the members in the vehicle, including the driver Mr. A, were minor. After receiving emergency treatment, they are currently resting at their accommodation.

Despite our company’s strict internal regulations against drunk driving, we are deeply concerned and feel a grave sense of responsibility that such an accident occurred.
