Busan Port Authority Publishes Busan Port Container Statistics Booklet

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] A statistical booklet that allows a comprehensive view of container cargo handling and transportation statistics at Busan Port has been published.
Busan Port Authority (BPA), which manages and operates Busan Port, announced on the 13th that it has published the "2019 Busan Port Container Cargo Handling and Transportation Statistics" as part of providing statistical services related to Busan Port to Busan Port customers and the general public.
Since its establishment in 2004, BPA has compiled statistics related to Busan Port annually, and this is the first time it has been published in a handbook format for convenience. The booklet was produced in a 63-page handbook format.
This Busan Port statistical booklet consists of major statistics of Busan Port, major status of Busan Port, major statistics and status of nationwide ports, and other reference materials.
The first part, "Major Statistics of Busan Port," includes annual export-import and transshipment cargo handling performance of Busan Port, and statistics on container cargo handling performance by country and region at Busan Port.
The second part, "Major Status of Busan Port," contains the status of Busan Port's wharf facilities, Busan New Port development plans, status of the New Port hinterland complex, and the status of Busan Port's route network.
The third part, "Major Statistics and Status of Nationwide Ports," includes annual container cargo handling performance by port nationwide including Busan Port, status of container terminal operators, and 2019 nationwide ports' regular container service port call status.
Finally, the fourth part, "Other Reference Materials," contains detailed statistics on container cargo handling performance of major world ports including Busan Port, comparison of container cargo volume at major global transshipment ports, and trends in container transshipment cargo handling by world region.
Busan Port Authority plans to distribute this booklet to more than 350 domestic and international organizations including related agencies of Busan Port, shipping logistics companies, container terminal operators, universities, and research institutes.
