[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangnam-gu Council member Lee Gwansu (37) apologized for causing concern and worry due to an unfortunate incident involving drunk driving and repeatedly hitting four parked cars in an apartment complex in Daechi-dong, Gangnam-gu, around 2:40 a.m. on the 11th, stating, “I am truly sorry and regretful for causing trouble during such a serious national situation.”
He continued, “I am deeply ashamed to the point that I cannot hold my head high for my unacceptable behavior,” and admitted his fault, saying, “Regardless of the reason, I forgot the responsibility to be a role model and acted in a way that could damage the trust of the residents, leaving no room for any excuses.”

Council member Lee also said, “I will reflect deeply and take time for repentance and self-restraint to ensure that such an incident never happens again,” and added, “I will strictly uphold ethical standards and work hard to show a changed self to lessen the disappointment I caused to the residents who have supported me for the past 10 years.”
