View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Seong Sik-kyung, Standing Auditor of Korea East-West Power, was elected as the 5th president through an online vote at the General Assembly of the Korea Public Institution Audit Association.
President Seong, a graduate of the Department of English Language and Literature at Pusan National University, has served as a policy research officer at the National Assembly and auditor at Korea Asset Trust. He was recognized for his contributions to corruption prevention and integrity enhancement, and was the first auditor at East-West Power to be reappointed.
President Seong stated, "I will actively work to strengthen communication among public institutions and enhance the capabilities of audits and auditors," adding, "I will work together with members to address and resolve the association's current issues."

The association was established in 2008 with the goal of developing internal audit systems in public institutions and improving the quality of audit work. Auditors from 123 public institutions are currently registered members and active.
