Heavy Rain Nationwide from This Afternoon to Tomorrow Afternoon... Flood Advisory for Southern Regions
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Eun-byeol] On Sunday the 12th, the nation is expected to be mostly cloudy with rain falling in most areas.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration as of 7 a.m., rain is currently falling mainly around Jeju Island and the southern coast. As the low-pressure system moves eastward, the areas experiencing rain are expected to gradually expand. After 9 p.m. tonight, rain clouds are expected to spread to most parts of the country, and tomorrow heavy rain accompanied by strong winds is forecast.
Expected rainfall until the 14th is forecast at 100 to 200 mm (with some areas exceeding 300 mm) in Gangwon Yeongdong, Chungcheong Province, southern regions, and Jeju Island (excluding the northern part). Seoul, Gyeonggi Province, Gangwon Yeongseo, northern Jeju, the five western islands, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo are expected to receive 50 to 100 mm.
In particular, the southern regions will see concentrated rainfall from this afternoon, and most parts of the country will experience heavy rain from dawn to daytime tomorrow, with some areas likely to have heavy rain warnings issued.
As of 5 a.m. today, temperatures in major regions nationwide are as follows: Seoul 22.2°C, Incheon 23.1°C, Suwon 23.2°C, Chuncheon 18.1°C, Gangneung 17.1°C, Cheongju 24.0°C, Daejeon 23.7°C, Jeonju 23.9°C, Gwangju 23.3°C, Jeju 23.6°C, Daegu 20.7°C, Busan 20.3°C, Ulsan 19.6°C, Changwon 20.2°C.
The highest daytime temperatures are forecast to range between 22 and 29 degrees Celsius. Fine dust levels are expected to be 'Good' across all regions.

The Korea Meteorological Administration urged, "Since heavy rain is expected, please prepare in advance to prevent damage such as flooding of farmland, landslides, and retaining wall collapses caused by the heavy rain." They also advised, "Water levels in valleys and rivers can rise suddenly, so please be cautious of safety accidents during outdoor activities."
