Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Announces Contest for Introducing Innovative Technologies in Smart City National Pilot Cities
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo In-ho] The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 9th that from the 10th, it will conduct a technology contest for two projects to apply innovative technologies from small and startup companies in smart city national pilot cities such as Sejong and Busan.
This contest was planned to select and support small and startup companies possessing innovative technologies that can be introduced into national pilot cities, separately from the SPC private business operator contest.
The Pilot City Innovative Service Demonstration Support Project is a program that discovers excellent technologies suitable for five major service areas: smart infrastructure, transportation/logistics, health/education, energy/environment, and safety/lifestyle, and supports them through demonstration. Up to 300 million KRW per task, with a total of 1.95 billion KRW in demonstration costs, will be supported.
In the case of the Smart Village Innovative Technology Contest Project, 3.6 billion KRW in total project funds will be supported for 11 innovative technologies to be introduced in the ‘Smart Village,’ the first residential complex in the Busan national pilot city, with each receiving between 50 million and 700 million KRW.
Large companies are not allowed to participate alone in this contest, but participation in a consortium (up to 5 companies) is possible.
