Lotte Confectionery Expands 'Jellyshus' Line... Launches 3 Unique Jelly Varieties
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] Lotte Confectionery announced on the 9th that it has launched three uniquely shaped jellies: ‘Pepero Choco Jelly,’ ‘Macaron-shaped Jelly,’ and ‘Crunchy Long Jelly.’ With this launch, the integrated jelly brand ‘Jellicious’ will expand to offer nine varieties.
The three new products embody the brand identity established when Jellicious was launched in 2018, which aimed to “stimulate consumers’ curiosity and provide enjoyment through delicious jellies.” They also reflect recent trends in the jelly market, where actual food shapes are faithfully recreated in products, and taste and texture are made more fun.
‘Pepero Choco Jelly’ resembles the shape of a ‘Nude Pepero’ not only in design but also in form. This product features an outer layer of choco-vanilla flavored jelly, with chewy jelly filled with chocolate inside. The recommended retail price is 1,500 KRW.
‘Macaron-shaped Jelly’ is a product that faithfully replicates the shape of the popular dessert macaron and is contained in a round transparent tray. This product consists of different flavors for the outer and inner parts; the inner jelly has a refreshing yogurt flavor, while the outer jelly comes in two flavors: strawberry and mango. The price is 1,500 KRW.
‘Crunchy Long Jelly’ maximizes the joy of chewing. The long strawberry-flavored jelly is coated with five flavors of ‘Crunchy Candy,’ allowing consumers to enjoy both the chewy texture of the jelly and the crispy texture and sound unique to crunchy candy. The price is 1,200 KRW.
