LGU+ Offers Cloud VR Experience Opportunity to Guests at Westin Chosun Hotel
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] LG Uplus announced on the 9th that it will provide cloud virtual reality (VR) experience opportunities for guests at the Westin Chosun Hotel Seoul.
Guests staying at the Westin Chosun Hotel Seoul can enjoy over 1,300 VR videos including cloud VR games, idols, performances, and travel comfortably in their rooms with the latest VR devices from the 10th of this month until the 29th of next month.
Cloud VR games allow users to enjoy high-spec 6 degrees of freedom (6DoF) immersive games without installing high-performance PCs or cables, using only a wireless headset (HMD) without spatial restrictions.
This service is available to customers who apply for the '2020 Summer Package' offered by the Westin Chosun Hotel Seoul. Guests who do not apply for the package can also experience the same service at the cloud VR experience zone set up in the hotel's 18th-floor sky lounge.
The two companies explained that this event was prepared to allow customers planning a city hotel vacation (hokangseu: hotel + vacation) during the summer holiday season to experience immersive VR services with family and friends.
