Park Sang-hak, Representative of the Free North Korea Movement Alliance, Appears at Police for 'Assault on SBS Reporters' Allegation
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Park Sang-hak, the head of the Free North Korea Movement Alliance, appeared at the police station as a suspect and underwent investigation for allegedly assaulting SBS reporters who came to his home.
Seoul Songpa Police Station announced on the 8th that they summoned Park the previous day and questioned him for about four hours. A police official stated, "We cannot disclose the details of Park's statements or whether he admitted to the charges."
Earlier, on the 23rd of last month, Park was accused of assaulting SBS TV 'Morning Wide' reporters who visited his residence to cover the distribution of leaflets to North Korea. It was reported that the PD, AD, director of photography, and audio technician were injured by bricks and punches thrown by Park.

Subsequently, the Free North Korea Movement Alliance filed a counter-complaint with Songpa Police Station against SBS, claiming that the reporters' visit to Park's home was an act of "collusion with North Korea's assassination terrorism."
