Jangsu-gun Local JOB Center Produces Dementia Prevention Specialists
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Go Dallyeong] The Local JOB Center in Jangsu-gun, Jeonbuk announced on the 8th that it has produced 12 dementia prevention specialists through the center's employment program, the ‘Brain Cognitive Training Instructor Training Course,’ targeting about 20 job seekers in Jangsu-gun.
According to the Local JOB Center (Gijeon University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation), considering the increasing local interest in dementia, a new 5-week ‘Brain Cognitive Training Instructor Training Course’ was established and conducted for about 20 job seekers in Jangsu-gun.
As a result, 12 graduates obtained the brain cognitive training instructor certification, marking a great achievement. Some of the certified trainees will serve as specialized volunteers for the 2020 Dementia Prevention Planning Group conducted by the Jangsu-gun Dementia Safety Center.
Other certificate holders plan to carry out dementia prevention activities targeting the elderly at welfare facilities such as local senior welfare centers, senior citizen centers, lifelong education centers, and senior universities.
