[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] It has been confirmed that a man from Uzbekistan who tested positive for COVID-19 illegally left his self-quarantine location and engaged in outside activities for 10 days.
On the 8th, Chungnam Province and Geumsan County announced that they plan to report Mr. A, a man in his 30s of Uzbek nationality who tested positive for COVID-19, to the police on charges of violating the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Act for leaving his quarantine location without permission.
Previously, Mr. A was classified as a close contact of Daejeon patient number 103 on the 26th of last month and was notified to self-quarantine. Although he tested negative in the initial COVID-19 test, he was confirmed positive in a retest conducted 10 days later.

Mr. A frequently went out leaving his mobile phone at home, and it was confirmed that his daughter attended daycare normally until the 30th of last month, before the daycare was closed.
On the evening of the 7th, his wife and daughter, who lived with him, also tested positive for COVID-19.
