[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] The Korea International Trade Association, in collaboration with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, held the ‘5 Major Promising Consumer Goods Virtual Export Consultation’ on the 8th at COEX in Samseong-dong.
At the consultation, 46 Korean companies from five major promising consumer goods sectors?cosmetics, fashion apparel, household and baby products, agricultural and marine food products, and pharmaceuticals?were present. These sectors were identified by the government in June last year for focused development. The companies held consultations with 17 buyers, including Suning Group, China’s largest online and offline distribution company, and Saigon Co.op, Vietnam’s largest retail distribution company.
Mr. Salid from Wellgate, a Thai TV home shopping company, said, “At the last consultation we participated in, we were able to meet a perfect partner for us,” adding, “We hope to establish connections with excellent Korean companies this time as well.”
