Selected 'Unipark Club Activity Group' to Foster Talent for Busan's 7 Major Strategic Industries
Hosted Expert-Led 'Shared University Student Special Lecture'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Busan City supports Uni-Park club activities as part of the 'Shared University Uni-Park' project, which has been operating since May. Along with this, special lectures for shared university students will also be held.
Busan City and the Busan Talent Lifelong Education Promotion Institute announced on the 8th that they will carry out a support project for 'Uni-Park club activities' to strengthen win-win cooperation between the city and universities.
This project supports university student joint clubs composed of two or more universities or two or more departments that engage in activities related to Busan's seven strategic industry sectors.
During the recruitment period from May 6 to June 8, a total of 135 people from 19 teams applied, and 64 people from 7 teams were selected after overcoming a competition ratio of 2.7 to 1. Starting with the first grant disbursement in early July, various activities such as field visits, competition participation, and product development will be conducted until November to strengthen capabilities and exchange in fields such as intelligent information services, future transportation devices, global tourism, and cleantech.
The 'Shared University Student Special Lectures' project provides opportunities to enhance the capabilities of local university students and cultivate their qualities as future convergence talents through lectures by prominent figures related to the 4th Industrial Revolution, finance, future promising occupations, and cultural content fields.
As the first special lecture, on the 9th from 3 PM for two hours, Lee Sang-ho, CEO of the startup 'Mandro Co., Ltd.', which manufactures 3D printing-based electronic prosthetics, will be invited to Busan Station Eurasia Platform Room 104 to talk about 'The Future World of the 4th Industrial Revolution.'
Byun Sung-wan, Acting Mayor of Busan, said, "Through the 'Shared University Uni-Park' project, which is being implemented for the first time this year, the city and universities are discovering and conducting various programs together to nurture future talents needed in the region," and added, "We will continue to work jointly with local universities to strengthen university students' capabilities and develop the local community."
