Gyeongbuk Andong-si Sends 'Support Video Messages' to Overseas Sister Cities for Overcoming COVID-19
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Dong-wook] Andong City in Gyeongbuk announced on the 5th that it sent a video containing a message of support to its sister, friendship, and exchange cities abroad suffering from the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The 1 minute 50 second video, featuring Andong citizens and Mayor Kwon Young-se of Andong City together offering support, was introduced via link sharing on the official SNS accounts of each city through Andong City's official YouTube channel, 'Makada Andong'.
Andong City currently maintains sister, friendship, and exchange relationships with Pingdingshan, Qufu, Jinan, and Xi'an in China; Sagae, Kamakura, and Takayama in Japan; Holon in Israel; Corinth in Greece; and Cusco in Peru.
Local citizens who viewed the video responded with comments such as "Andong City has started an excellent project for the reunion of world cultural heritage cities," "The handwritten messages of citizens in the beautiful streets of Andong," and "Thank you for the heartwarming message," expressing their delight, according to Andong City.
