Emergency Landing of USFK Black Hawk Helicopter at Ichon Hangang Park
[Asia Economy Reporter Yang Nak-gyu] A Black Hawk military helicopter operated by the US Forces Korea made an emergency landing in a Han River park in Seoul around 3:50 PM on the 2nd while in flight.
According to the police and the US Forces Korea Command, the helicopter took off from Yongsan Base in Seoul in the afternoon and made an emergency landing in a Han River park in Ichon-dong, Yongsan-gu, nearby. It is reported that the landing was due to engine failure.
The police and fire authorities received a report that the helicopter had landed in an open area within the Han River park and dispatched personnel to the scene.
