Support for Iksan City Religious Facilities' Transition to Non-Face-to-Face Online Worship
Small-scale Religious Facilities: Equipment, Infrastructure, and Education
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Hong Jae-hee] Iksan City, Jeonbuk, is taking steps to support the transition of religious facilities to non-face-to-face online worship services to prevent the spread of COVID-19 local infections.
On the 2nd, the city announced that it would refrain from religious gatherings or meetings to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and would begin full support for the transition to online worship services starting from the 3rd.
To this end, the Iksan Public Video Media Center will lend professional personnel, equipment, and facilities to small-scale religious facilities to help them switch religious gatherings to online non-face-to-face formats.
In addition to education, the center will also support shooting spaces and equipment for religious facility officials who wish to film videos for distribution purposes to promote the transition to online worship services.
The center rents out TV studio space free of charge every Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. so that Sunday worship videos can be recorded.
In response to the prolonged COVID-19 situation, the city plans to continuously guide and educate on strengthening quarantine rules for religious facilities and transitioning to online worship services, while gradually devising support measures.
