According to local media such as the Hindustan Times on the 1st, in Bihar state in northern India, a groom suspected of being infected after a wedding on the 15th of last month died of high fever, and about 100 wedding guests and residents tested positive for COVID-19.
Two weeks ago in a rural area called Patna, a groom showed symptoms of high fever and died two days after the wedding. The body was cremated without testing for COVID-19 infection.
The Hindustan Times reported that the groom complained of high fever on the wedding day and wanted to postpone the ceremony, but the wedding was held under pressure from his family.

The daily new confirmed cases, which were around 8,000 at the end of May, have recently increased to between 18,000 and 19,000.
