Uzbek Worker Entering on Vacation Tested Positive for COVID-19
Jeonnam 25th Confirmed Case
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The 25th confirmed case of COVID-19 has occurred in Jeonnam. He is a man in his 30s who worked as an overseas resident employee since July last year and entered the country on vacation until the 30th of last month.
According to Jeonnam Province on the 1st, Mr. A tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday after arriving from Uzbekistan through Incheon Airport.
Mr. A moved from Incheon Airport to Gwangmyeong Station at around 9:46 a.m. yesterday. At 12:34 p.m., he took the KTX exclusive car for overseas arrivals to Mokpo Station.
Following guidelines, he immediately moved to the screening clinic by a Mokpo city vehicle, had a specimen collected around 3 p.m., and received the final positive diagnosis at 10:30 p.m.
Mr. A is currently hospitalized and receiving treatment at Gangjin Medical Center and is reported to have no particular symptoms.
Meanwhile, since April 1, Jeonnam Province has conducted tests on all overseas arrivals at temporary testing facilities, with a total of about 3,600 people admitted so far, and 6 have tested positive.
