Employees of Pyeongtaek Port Authority Support COVID-19 Medical Staff
[Asia Economy (Pyeongtaek) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Executives and employees of Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority participated in the 'Thanks to You Challenge' to support COVID-19 medical staff.
On the 29th, Pyeongtaek Port Authority announced that it participated in the 'Thanks to You Challenge Campaign' at the Pyeongtaek Port Marine Center's conference room to support medical staff and citizens exhausted by COVID-19.
The Thanks to You Challenge is an online-based support campaign conducted by the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters and the Korea Central Volunteer Center to boost the morale of medical staff dedicated to quarantine and treatment amid COVID-19.
The hand gesture of holding the palm up with the thumb extended and fist clenched expresses the sign language gesture for 'respect.' This campaign is supported not only by companies but also by public figures who participate and send encouragement through their personal SNS.
Moon Hak-jin, President of Pyeongtaek Port Authority, said, "Despite the prolonged COVID-19 situation and hot weather, we held this campaign with our employees to express respect for the dedication of medical staff and volunteers who are committed to treatment."
