On the morning of the 26th at the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly, Lee said, "These days, it is clear how much incorrect information causes great anxiety among the public," adding, "Even considering the reduction in securities transaction tax, the increase in capital gains tax results in a zero-sum effect on overall tax revenue. It is regrettable that despite knowing that tax revenue is not increasing, incorrect controversies are arising."
He continued, "There are other cases of conversion to regular positions and incorrect information causing misunderstandings among the public," and said, "I hope everyone exercises restraint so as not to confuse the public over such trivial matters."
Regarding negotiations on the organization of the National Assembly, he said, "The Democratic Party secured enough seats to operate the entire National Assembly alone based on the mandate of the 21st general election, but we have approached the opposition party with sincerity," criticizing, "(Joo Ho-young, floor leader of the United Future Party) said he was only humiliated, but I cannot help but feel he is shameless."
He added, "The public is suffering far more severely than during the IMF foreign exchange crisis. No matter what happens, the third supplementary budget must be passed in the June National Assembly," emphasizing, "In the 20th National Assembly, the Liberty Korea Party held the Legislation and Judiciary Committee, which allowed some obstruction, but I will make sure to show that the Democratic Party in the 21st National Assembly is different."
