Lee Jeong-hoon, Mayor of Gangdong-gu, said, "I believe today's signing of the business agreement is the first step toward spreading a beautiful pet funeral culture. Nearly half of deceased pets are illegally buried in wild mountains or disposed of as household waste in designated bags, which is inhumane and causes environmental pollution, making it a task that must be resolved from an animal welfare perspective." He added, "With the philosophy of 'from cradle to grave for pets,' we will strive to create a new system that cares for pets, who are another family member, throughout their entire lives?from birth, through a happy life, to farewell."
