KakaoBank "82,000 Customers Used Interest Rate Reduction Requests in 1 Year, Total 3 Billion KRW Discount"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] KakaoBank announced on the 24th that approximately 82,000 loan customers have utilized the right to request an interest rate reduction over the past year, resulting in a total interest discount of 3 billion KRW.
KakaoBank explained, "Any loan customer can conveniently apply for the right to request an interest rate reduction anytime and without any limit on the period or number of times through the mobile application (app)."
The right to request an interest rate reduction is a system legislated in June last year that allows customers whose credit rating has improved due to reasons such as debt reduction or income increase to apply to the bank for a discount on the interest rate of existing loans.
