On the 23rd, Ryu Hyungsoo, a composer of people's songs, uploaded a video titled "Cho Kuk's Joyful Outing" on his YouTube channel 'Ryu Hyungsoo TV'.
Along with the video, Ryu wrote, "I met a familiar face and had a joyful time. It was a happy evening to see (former Minister Cho's) bright appearance."
In the video, former Minister Cho sang a song with lyrics including "Following my footsteps as I walk, passing through a seaside village, I will talk all night with kind-hearted people. Flowers bloom on the mountain, and if there are crucian carps by the water, I will sit on a stone and rest there," while gently closing his eyes to the accompaniment of Ryu's guitar.
From the middle of the song, Cho also tapped the desk with his palm in rhythm. On the desk in front of him was a plastic cup filled with beer.
He finished the song singing the lyrics, "Ah, tonight too, beautiful images arise in my dreams. When I get tired while walking, I will return again to your loving arms that welcome me with a smiling face."
After Cho's song ended, those present shouted, "Awesome, Cho Kuk!" and applauded. In the video, Cho did not say anything other than singing.
As of 7 a.m. on the 24th, the video had over 72,000 views. There are more than 1,500 comments on the video. Most of these comments support and cheer for former Minister Cho.

Former Minister Cho is currently on trial for charges including abuse of power related to the cover-up of the inspection of Yoo Jae-su, former Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs of Busan. Cho's wife, Professor Jeong Gyeongshim of Dongyang University, is also on trial for charges including her children's college admissions and private equity fund corruption.
