Gwangjin-gu Implements QR Code Electronic Entry Log Even for Visits to Welfare Facilities
Installation of Electronic Entry Logs at Three Local Comprehensive Social Welfare Centers and Gwangjin Food Bank Market Center... Contribution to Preventing Personal Information Exposure and COVID-19 Spread Using QR Code-Based Electronic Entry Logs
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Seon-gap) has introduced an electronic entry log based on QR codes at three comprehensive social welfare centers in the area (Gwangjang Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, Junggok Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, Jayang Comprehensive Social Welfare Center) and the Gwangjin Food Bank Market Center.
The electronic entry log based on QR codes can resolve issues of inaccurate entries and personal information exposure that occurred with manual visitor logs, and since it operates in a contactless manner, it also contributes to preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the local community.
The district previously introduced QR code electronic entry logs at the entrances of 22 buildings including the district office, health center, and community service centers, and has now expanded installation to welfare facilities such as comprehensive social welfare centers in the area.
Visitors can scan the QR code at the entrance of the welfare facility with their smartphones, check personal information and self-diagnosis status, and register their names through identity verification.
In case visitors refuse to use the electronic log or do not have a smartphone, manual log entries with ID verification will also be conducted concurrently.
The stored information will be deleted after four weeks and will only be used for location and contact tracing during epidemiological investigations if necessary in the future.
Kim Seon-gap, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “We decided to introduce QR code electronic entry logs at welfare facilities in the area to enable rapid response such as contact tracing in case of COVID-19 occurrence. Although filling out the electronic entry log may feel complicated and inconvenient, we ask for residents’ active cooperation to resolve issues of false entries and personal information exposure.”
Among the comprehensive social welfare centers in the area, Gwangjang Comprehensive Social Welfare Center and Junggok Comprehensive Social Welfare Center are partially open to provide some services for children with disabilities, while Jayang Comprehensive Social Welfare Center is closed but operates the Our Neighborhood Care Center for children requiring emergency care.
