Lotte Food Launches 'Chef Food Seven Days Plan' Series of Healthy Rice Bowls Under 315kcal
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] A convenient meal has been launched for customers who want to switch to lighter meals this summer.
On the 23rd, Lotte Foods announced the launch of the healthy rice bowl series "Chef Food Seven Days Plan," with each meal containing less than 315 kcal, designed for customers who want to keep their diet light without sacrificing taste.
Launched with the slogan "Change the rhythm of your daily life with a week together," the "Chef Food Seven Days Plan" is a convenient meal in the form of bibimbap, allowing you to eat rice and side dishes all at once. It is designed for those who want to eat deliciously even if they eat a little, and to easily plan their meals for a week. It was planned as an online channel exclusive product so that the core customers, women in their 20s and 30s, can easily purchase it.
The newly released products come in four types. The "Chicken Breast Five-Color Bibimbap" adds spiciness with gochujang to chicken breast, shiitake mushrooms, radish greens, and other vegetables. The "Oven Chicken Breast Vegetable Rice Bowl" features oven-roasted chicken breast and large-cut cabbage and carrots to create a rich texture. The "Spicy Dakgalbi Cabbage Rice Bowl" is characterized by a spicy and refreshing taste with chicken breast, carrots, and perilla leaf-scented gochujang. The "Five Vegetable Curry Rice Bowl" combines vegetables such as broccoli and pumpkin with curry sauce to create a diverse flavor.
The Chef Food Seven Days Plan embodies a light and healthy meal by focusing on the basics of Korean cuisine, which centers on various vegetables and fermented sauces. It uses a variety of ingredients such as radish greens, shiitake mushrooms, chicken, pork, tofu, and eggs to create a rich flavor. The rice, carefully designed by a rice sommelier, is multigrain rice cooked with lentils and chickpeas using a direct-fire pot method, resulting in a chewy texture.
Calories and dietary fiber were also meticulously designed. Although the product allows you to eat rice and side dishes at once, the calories are similar to a regular bowl of rice. While a 210g bowl of rice contains about 304 kcal (based on the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety's food nutrition database), the 235g Chef Food Chicken Breast Five-Color Bibimbap contains about 315 kcal. Additionally, each product contains approximately 4000 to 7700 mg of dietary fiber, which satisfies about 20 to 38% of the daily dietary fiber intake for adult women per meal.
The Chef Food Seven Days Plan has started selling on various online malls, including major open markets. It is available in configurations such as the "Seven Days Experience Pack," consisting of seven products to consume one per day, and the "Seven Days Challenge Pack," consisting of 12 products for one to two meals per day. Lotte Foods plans to expand the Chef Food Seven Days Plan products in the future to diversify meal options further.
On online malls, including the direct-operated "Lotte Food Mall," meal plans such as once-a-day and twice-a-day programs are suggested to help customers make reasonable meal plans using the "Chef Food Seven Days Plan." Searching hashtags like #ChefFoodSevenDays, #ChefFoodHealthyRiceBowl, #7DAYS, #HealthyLunchBox, and #HealthyFood on major online malls will also lead to meal-related content and products. There are plans to expand product listings to more online malls in the future.

As a frozen convenient meal, the cooking method is simple. Using a "steam vent container," you can microwave the container without removing the top film, and the package naturally releases steam during cooking. This not only offers convenience but also minimizes moisture loss during cooking, allowing you to enjoy a more moist taste. Just heat it in the microwave for 4 minutes (700w), and it is ready to eat. It can be safely stored in the freezer for a long time, making it easy to prepare meals for single- or two-person households or busy professionals.
