Police Arrest Biological Mother Suspected of Abandoning Infant's Body in Hangang River
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] The Gwangjin Police Station in Seoul announced on the 22nd that they have arrested the biological mother as a suspect for abandoning the body of an infant at the Jamsil Hangang Park riverside last October.
The police applied for an arrest warrant for the infant's biological mother, Ms. A, on charges of child abuse resulting in death and abandonment, and arrested her on the 20th.
On October 14 last year, the 119 Special Rescue Team Ttukseom Water Rescue Unit discovered the body of an infant wearing a diaper at the Jamsil Hangang Park riverside in Songpa-gu, Seoul, and handed the case over to the police.
