Card Companies Join 'Korea Together Sale'... "Check 72 Events"
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] The card industry is joining the 'Korea Together Sale' to help boost domestic consumption.
The Credit Finance Association announced on the 22nd that nine card companies, including Lotte, BC, Samsung, Shinhan, Woori, Hana, Hyundai, KB Kookmin, and NH Nonghyup, will participate in the Korea Together Sale event. The card companies will hold a total of 72 events to create a nationwide consumption boom.
First, discounts or cashback and extended interest-free installment periods will be offered when using large marts, department stores, and home appliance sectors. Additionally, online sales channels and discount events will be provided for small business owners and farmers and fishermen. Reflecting the trend of increased online card usage due to practicing social distancing in daily life, additional points will be accumulated for online sector card payments.
To support the travel, accommodation, and dining sectors struggling due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), prizes and discount coupons will also be provided.
