Yongin City Conducts 'Intensive Inspection' of Over 270 Pollutant-Emitting Businesses...
[Asia Economy (Yongin) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province will conduct intensive inspections of pollutant-emitting business sites within the city from next month 1st to August 5th.
This inspection is a preventive measure against unauthorized discharge of wastewater or waste stored at business sites during the rainy season or heavy rainfall.
The targets include about 270 locations with potential environmental pollutant emissions, such as wastewater and air emission facilities, livestock manure discharge facilities, waste discharge facilities, and private sewage facilities.
During this period, Yongin City plans to focus on inspecting whether unauthorized (unreported) emission facilities are installed, the proper operation of emission and prevention facilities, and illegal pollutant discharge, as well as strengthening patrols in areas vulnerable to pollutant leakage and areas at risk of green algae damage.
