Jin Gwang-sik, Director of Daegu City Autonomous Administration Bureau, Appointed as 7th Director of An Gwang Industrial Promotion Agency
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongwook Park] Jin Gwang-sik (59), Director of the Daegu City Autonomous Administration Bureau, has been appointed as the new president of the Korea Optical Industry Promotion Agency and will officially take office in early July. The term is three years.
According to Daegu City on the 19th, Director Jin was recently finalized as the 7th president after document and interview evaluations by the Optical Industry Promotion Agency President Recommendation Committee.
Jin, the new president, graduated from Yeungnam University’s Department of Public Administration and Kyungpook National University Graduate School of Public Administration. He is originally from Yeongju, Gyeongbuk, and has held key positions for 36 years at Daegu City, including Head of the Regulatory Reform Promotion Team, Director of Cultural Arts Policy, Spokesperson, Director of Citizen Happiness Education Bureau, and Director of the Autonomous Administration Bureau.
In particular, while serving as Head of the Regulatory Reform Promotion Team, he achieved the nation’s top regulatory reform performance and is regarded as the right person to boldly remove regulations currently hindering the eyewear industry.
