Samsung Electronics launched a new Mirror Gold model on the 6th to continue the popularity of the Galaxy Z Flip. The Mirror Gold was first revealed at the Galaxy Unpacked event held in San Francisco, USA, last February but was not sold domestically. On the 18th (local time), the Galaxy Z Flip 5G model with the Snapdragon 865 chipset was spotted on the CPU performance evaluation site Geekbench. The Galaxy Z Flip 5G with the model number SM-F707B scored 966 points in single-core and 3183 points in multi-core tests. Compared to the LTE model, which recorded 743 points in single-core and 2594 points in multi-core, the performance has significantly improved.
While the existing LTE model applied the Snapdragon 855+ chipset to keep the price from rising excessively, the 5G model offers overall improved performance, including download speeds. Since it is a 5G smartphone released in the same form factor, the intention is to differentiate by boosting the AP performance. Supporting 5G and featuring a higher chipset specification, the retail price is expected to be higher than the LTE model (1.65 million KRW).
