The signing ceremony was hosted by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and Jeollabuk-do to create new jobs for women with career interruptions and improve the employment retention rate of employed women, and was organized by the Jeonbuk Regional Women's New Work Center. About 20 people, including County Governor Hwang Inhong, Jeonbuk Regional New Work Center Director Lee Yunae, and representatives of local companies, attended.
The attendees listened to an explanation of the 2020 employment policy and job support projects conducted by Choi Jeongcheol, team leader of the Namwon Employment Center, and received consulting on labor management plans for improving workplace culture from labor attorney Min Gyeongrok of Jinsol Labor Law Office.
They also shared mutual cooperation plans and difficulties, and from 1:30 PM visited excellent women-friendly companies such as Ramie F&B and Namyoung Pharmaceutical Agricultural Cooperative Corporation.
According to Muju County, last year 707 women with career interruptions registered as job seekers at the Women's Job Center, and among them, 415 succeeded in finding employment.
Governor Hwang Inhong said, “I consider it meaningful to have an opportunity to work together with companies and institutions that actively implement employment,” and added, “I hope this occasion will serve as a foundation for workforce replenishment for companies and an opportunity for employment for women with career interruptions.”
