Bucheon-si, Children's Webtoon Contest for Food Culture Improvement... Submissions Accepted Until September 4
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Bucheon City in Gyeonggi Province is holding a 'Food Culture Improvement Children's Webtoon Contest' to promote proper eating habits among children and the practice of a healthy food culture.
Until last year, the contest was held in the writing category, but starting this year, the category has been changed to webtoons to reflect Bucheon's status as a 'Comics City.'
The contest theme is original webtoons consisting of 8 to 30 panels on topics such as reducing sugar and sodium, excessive consumption of instant foods and wasteful food culture improvement, and hygienic kitchen culture. Any student currently attending an elementary school in the Bucheon area can participate by submitting one work per person.
Applicants can download the application form from the Bucheon City website and submit their work by mail, email (mijichae@korea.kr), or by visiting the Food Hygiene Division at Bucheon City Hall by September 4.
The contest will be judged by webtoon experts who will select 10 final webtoons. The results will be posted on the city website in mid-September, and winners will be notified individually.
